Warranty
Bay Leather Republic guarantees to repair any product with a manufacturing or material defect, for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase. This is provided that the defect is not a result of normal wear and tear, or a natural characteristic of the material used.
Bay Leather Republic warrants the internal frame to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 10 years (under normal domestic use).
As our products have been designed for domestic use our warranty does not cover products used for commercial purposes.
Your furniture must be cared for in accordance with the care instructions provided.
BAY LEATHER REPUBLIC LIMITED WARRANTY
Bay Leather Republic warrants to you, the original retail purchaser, the following:
10 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY – FRAME
Bay Leather Republic warrants the internal frame to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 10 years (under normal usage).
2 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY – FOAM and FEATHER
Bay Leather Republic warrants the foam and feather to be free from abnormal loss of resiliency for a period of two (2) years from the date you, the original retail purchaser, receive the product. The softening or flattening of the fiber and foam material that occurs due to normal use and aging is not covered by this limited warranty, shall not be considered a defect in materials or workmanship, and must not be confused with abnormal loss of resiliency. Cushions typically soften with normal use and aging, and may conform to the shape of the user.
2 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY – MECHANISMS and SPRINGS
Bay Leather Republic warrants the recliner mechanisms, manual, electric or battery for a period of two (2) years from the date you, the original retail purchaser, receive the product. Bay Leather Republic also warrants the spring systems: steel springs, 8 way hand tied or webbing system in its upholstered products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date you, the original retail purchaser, receive the product. Bay Leather Republic also warrants the mattresses and sleeper mechanisms in its upholstered products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date you, the original retail purchaser, receive the product.
2 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY – LEATHER AND STITCHING
Bay Leather Republic warrants the leather used in its upholstered leather products to be 100% genuine bovine leather and to be free from tearing and splitting under normal use for a period of two (2) years from the date you, the original retail purchaser, receive the product. Bay Leather Republic also warrants the stitching in its upholstered products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date you, the original retail purchaser, receive the product. Because leather is a natural product, this limited warranty does not cover natural characteristics of leather, such as markings caused by insect bites, barbed wire, veining, abrasions, injuries to the animal, wrinkling, or variations in grain or color tones on different sections of the same leather product.
LIMITED WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS AND CLARIFICATIONS
This limited warranty is made by Bay Leather Republic only to you, the original retail purchaser, and to no other person; and is in addition to and does not preclude your rights under State fair trading and federal Trade Practices legislation. This Limited Warranty:
·Does not apply to any Bay Leather Republic upholstered products used for any commercial, contract, institutional, rental-trade, or other non household use;
·Applies only to Bay Leather Republic upholstered products used for normal household use and maintained in accordance with instructions provided in this product booklet delivered with the Bay Leather Republic upholstered product;
·Does not apply to fabric coverings of Bay Leather Republic upholstered products;
·Does not apply to damage resulting from misuse, application of leather coverings, treatment and cleaning, incorrect use of cleaning materials, abuse, neglect, cuts and scratches, accident, burns, fire, water or other hazard, shipment after original delivery to you, the original retail purchaser, exposure to direct sunlight or bright lights or extreme heat or similar conditions resulting in discoloration, cracking or peeling of leather coverings;
If a Bay Leather Republic upholstered product does not conform to these limited warranties, your sole and exclusive remedy is:
(i) repair of any defective product or repair of any part of any product determined to be defective;
(ii) replacement of any defective product or replacement any part of any product determined to be defective; or
(iii) refund of the original purchase price paid by you for the defective product upon return to Bay Leather Republic of the defective product free from all liens and claims.
Bay Leather Republic reserves the right to substitute materials or parts of equal quality and value as determined in the sole discretion Bay Leather Republic. Bay Leather Republic shall in no event be responsible to you for any incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of time, usage, or money and in no event shall the responsibility of Bay Leather Republic for any defect exceed the purchase price paid by you, the original retail purchaser, for the product. Some states do not allow the inclusion or limitation of incidental damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
CARE
With limited care your leather furniture will bring you long-term comfort and value.
We strongly recommend frequent light dusting as dust and soil can be abrasive, potentially damaging the finish of your leather. Occasional wiping with a warm and slightly damp clean cloth will prevent oils and other soil building up. As easy as it sounds, this simple maintenance is vital to the life of your leather furniture.
